This is an updated Americanization of the text written by Sweetland for release in the UK. This version includes an excellent section devoted to the functional aspects of the surgical clerkship. It gives rock-solid advice on how to exceed expectations and secure excellent evaluations and letters of rec that will make an impact on residency prospects. You probably won't have time to read Sabiston's or Cameron during your rotation; this alternative provides more detail than Surgical Recall but not the encyclopedic volume of information found in the traditional surgical texts.
