He owns and operates Class Comics Inc., which release a wide range gay-themed erotic comics. Green has never been sexier!

Patrick Fillion--the "Stan Lee of gay comics"--finally gives us one of his most sexiest creations his own comic book title, and deservedly so. Locus--who's made appearances in other Class Comics titles--gets his own full length story here. And like with any Fillion project, the wait is long; but the payoff is more than worth it!
Blending sci-fi adventure with gay erotica, our hero--who's the embodiment of what it would be like to have sex with the most alluring, well-built alien in the cosmos--is on the run from Sektan Authorities after refusing to give in to Sektan Laws. Thus hiding away on another planet, Locus tumbles from one perilous plot to another as he's first gang-raped (authorities "rescue" him at the last moment), has a tryst with a closeted commanding officer, and then, in a horror-themed but tantalizing climax, is sentenced to die before a cave filled with life-sucking creatures.
Intertwined with the plot are Locus' flashbacks to things past: His discovery & love of the equally provocative Camillicat & other comic book adventures.
Fillion's artwork is vibrantly crisp & colorful, and the writing is clever & engaging, with some nice twists.

More violent than I expected or enjoy.Other than the story line the comic has great color and drawings. I did not get the idea that it was this type and degree of violence from reading about it before I purchased it. I shall return,exchange or sell it.

Ann Scheck McAlearney, Sc.D., is an Assistant Professor on the Ohio State University faculty in Health Services Management and Policy. She holds Bachelor's degrees in Biological Sciences and English from Stanford University, a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a Doctorate in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University. Professor McAlearney teaches courses in Health Services Organizational Management, Strategic Management and Program Development, and Leadership in Health Care.

Dr. McAlearney's general research interests include the areas of outcomes research, population health management, and examining organizational and physician decision-making in the area of care management. Her publications cover areas such as access to care, satisfaction with care, disease management and population health management, information technology, cost-effectiveness of new technologies, and quality measurement. She is especially interested in how health services research findings are applied in health care organizations and how the reporting of health care outcomes and quality measures can be used to improve both care delivery and health care decision-making by consumers.

It is very well written and the author's opinion is backed by research from several different institutions. This book presents the problem of Disease Management and Population Health Management as a method of trying to control our escalating health care costs and assist the aging population and those with chronic medical problems.

This was a required textbook, and honestly after paying 80-something, I expected a bigger heavier text, but this book is well written, with succinct chapters, and it covers everything you need to know about Disease Mgmnt, Population Health, ROI, Wellness programs, how to design and evaluate a program, etc.

I have this book and the new self-assessment workbook and going through both texts I am annoyed by how many typos/wrong answers I am finding in both of these books!!! For this level I would hope to see zero typos and wrong answers. From other people that I have talked to I am finding that the book by Bancroft is the way to go!

Both Inspiring and Convicting.

I am both convicted and inspired by this book. Oswald J. Smith may have gone on to be with the Lord, but this book and his other called Passion for Souls brings it down to the wire. I felt conviction in that I had been so easily distracted by the cares f this world and my own personal life that I forgot how we, as believers, are required to make disciples of all nations. I realized my prayer life need an adjustments and his chapter on Soul Travail and Obstacles, woke me up to see how I am desperately in need of a Savior, the Savior, Jesus Christ. Aside from my own spiritual awakening I found myself inspired to go and do what I have been commissioned to do for the Kingdom of God. Matthew 10:7-8 As you go, preach, saying the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.(8) heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely you have received freely give.
SO for the record, be careful about this book, only read it if you are serious about your dfaith and the purpose it exist.

Torn

I have to admit to being a little bit torn over how to rate this book. In the end I am going with my first thoughts on the book and why you too may want to buy. This book is short, easy read. I had worries about this being too short or easy, but there is a need for a good introduction that quickly covers the how and why of the Raspberry. The possibilities of these devices are limitless, so getting involved with them needs a good way to evaluate if you want to start in the first place. This book does this. The basics os O/S choices, simple coding, hardware conceptions and general ideas you might like for starting projects.

The best I can say is that while I could have liked more information, I got my monies worth.

Don't waste your money

86 pages (barely) of random information that purport to show you how to boot the Pi and run a couple of small examples followed by some generic project ideas and a section on "advanced circuits" typified by how to wire in a motor. The few code examples are undocumented and far too specific to be generally useful.

My favorite part of the book was the following set of instructions from the arcade cabinet project, "3. Cut and assemble the rest of the arcade cabinet. 4. Remove any electronics, and either paint or stain the wood. Add clear coat for a smooth surface."

If zero stars was an option then that's what I'd give Mr. Short's "book." There are much better sources of information elsewhere. Don't waste your money. I'm returning my copy for a refund.

Not worth the time

Not quite what I was expecting. I consider myself a beginner, but this book is more of a collection of where to find links to websites. I had already discovered most of the items and websites before I read the book. There is very little programming described in the book. You are better off finding resources for free on the Internet. I bought it based on the recommendation from Amazon and the reviews, plus it is labeled as a Best Seller. Granted, the price is only a few bucks, but I could have coupled the few bucks to another book that would have been worth my time to read.

A concise and easy to read epilepsy textbook

The book was a product of many experienced and internationally-recognised pediatric epileptologists (physician specialised in epilepsy treatment), fully editted by Dr Michael Duchowny, one of the world-renowned and pioneers of epilepsy surgery in children. The book covers almost all aspects of epilepsy in children from definition, types, epileptic syndromes by age, investigation and variety of treatment. The stand out quality of this book is that every chapter is very concise that you can finish it within half an hour per chapter (and this is from my own experience and I consider myself quite a slow reader when it comes to English language). Moreover, the authors also give you some "tips" from their own experience regarding the topic as well as the information from studies and research. It also contains lots of very useful diagrams for a quick review.
In summary, as an American-trained pediatric neurologist and epileptologist myself, I strongly recommend this book for everybody who is interested and/or involves in the care of children with epilepsy.
